The Lodge

The lodge is located on the banks of the sleepy fishing village called Groper Creek in far north Queensland and can

 

accommodate 1 to 3 anglers. It is a 1hour 20minutes drive south of Townsville which is the nearest airport for the

 

travelling angler . The Building is a Renovated Queenslander which is 2 stories High allowing for a cool breeze to be

 

caught from the well positioned balcony even in the heat of summer. The Lodge is an open plan design which allows a

 

very social atmosphere as you sit back and relax after a big day on the water having an ice cold drink while feeding

 

on freshly caught mud crab. The Kitchen is fully stocked with modern appliances so there is no going without. Dinners

 

can be self catered for with the use of the kitchen and barbeque. There are Three Bedrooms in the upper level in the

 

main section of the lodge, One room with 2 single beds and a master room with a queen size double, the third room

 

for your host has a queen size double and foldout couch. All the rooms are well ventilated with large windows for

 

those who like the fresh seabreezes , ceiling fans and air conditioning. The Main bathroom is modern tile with 2

 

toilets for extra comfort, Guests also have access to a laundry which is free of charge along with a comfortable couch

 

and flat screen TV or the well stocked Library for the avid reader
